Kenneth Porter, the driving force behind the creation and development of Intact, owes much of his style both to vanguard musicians, such as Depeche Mode and Camouflage, and the many years he spent in Europe. Born in Phoenix, Arizona, he was raised in Giessen, Germany. There he learned to play the keyboards, and has been playing since he was 15. For several years, he provided keyboard and backing vocals for the German synth pop band, The Diverge, where he accompanied them on tour in 1994. In 1995 he returned to Phoenix to pursue education. After a year, he decided to return to music and formed Intact, then a solo project. The music, however, needed to be redeveloped. A quality vocalist was needed. After much time and many applicants, Steven Bakos joined Intact. Bakos, was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, growing up listening to synth pop bands like Depeche Mode, Erasure and Xymox. At the age of six, Bakos started singing and later received vocal training for two years. He started playing keyboards after idolizing Duran Duran’s Nick Rhodes during the 1980’s. Over the past seven years he has had many solo projects and concerts in smaller venues. When the opportunity arose to join Intact, it was something that he could not pass up. Intact was at last complete.
